"Libraries often think of volunteers only for "traditional" volunteer jobs--book shelver, book mender, shelf duster. while some people love performing these tasks, ...potential volunteers may be, for example, accomplished trainers, graphic designers and public relations specialists"....."Volunteers enjoy sharing their time and talents with the library.... They are also excellent ambassadors in the community for all that we do."

I have a question. Do volunteers generally do the same work that paid staff perform?
At this point, the library support staff that I have does basic shelving, book repair, the circulation desk and some cataloging. Our volunteers do shelving and book repair but don't work the circ desk or catalog books. Everything else, I do. I know many libraries use volunteers for everything. What about at your library?
I simply could not go away your web site prior to suggesting that I extremely loved the usual info a person supply for your guests? Is gonna be again regularly in order to inspect new posts
